From Muscongus Bay you pass into Penobscot Bay, which is huge. It is nearly fifty miles from Marshall Point, at the southern end to Bucksport at the entrance to the Penobscot River. This lighthouse is on Two Bush Island, which is the western flank of the main shipping channel, known as the Two Bush Channel.
